AIB Cape is authorised to render advice and intermediary services in terms of Licence Category 1: 1.2 Short Term Personal and Commercial 1.6; AIB Cape holds Professional Indemnity insurance cover; AIB Cape holds Fidelity Guarantee insurance cover; No specific exemptions have been granted by the Registrar to the Provider with regard to any matter covered by the Act. AIB Cape does not hold shares issued by any insurer. AIB Cape received more than 30% of their total commission from one insurer in the previous calendar year.
AIB Cape accepts responsibility for its representatives, a copy of the license or representative listing, which contains details of the financial services, is available for inspection on request.
Conflict of Interest
We have considered the conflict of interest provisions in terms of the FAIS Act 37 of 2002 and have not identified any actual or potential conflicts of interest, either ownership interest, financial interest, third party relationships, associates or distribution channels as defined. We adopt a values based approach where the spirit of the legislation is embraced. This is reviewed at least once a year in consultation with an external independent compliance practitioner and reported to the FSCA. A conflict of interest management policy is available to Insureds on request and can also be viewed on our website.
